Heart of Audacity

The Monthly Support That Keeps Independent Research Alive

Fueling the Work When No One Is Watching

No one saves the ocean alone.

Heart of Audacity is the steady pulse behind Expedition Audacity.

It’s what keeps vessels ready when conditions change.
It’s what allows research to continue when attention fades.
It’s what protects our ability to publish evidence without waiting for permission.

This isn’t a campaign.
It’s the infrastructure of independence.

Why Heart of Audacity Matters

Independent field research doesn’t run on one-off moments of generosity. It runs on consistency.

Heart of Audacity enables:

• Long-term vessel readiness and safe operations

• Ongoing field research and environmental monitoring

• Indigenous-led collaboration and capacity-building

• Equipment maintenance and deployment

• Documentation and evidence gathering in real time

• The freedom to publish findings without delay or influence

Heart of Audacity supporters don’t fund campaigns. They fund capability.

Fund the Work — Not the Narrative

Heart of Audacity support does not buy influence.

It does not grant editorial control, narrative input, access to unpublished findings, or approval over where we operate or what we publish.

Expedition Audacity accepts monthly support to enable the work — not to shape it.

If our research reveals uncomfortable truths, those truths are published in full, regardless of who supports us.

That’s the deal. Every month.

What Heart of Audacity Sustains

Your recurring support helps keep:

• A research vessel operational and mission-ready

• Scientists, crew, and Indigenous partners safely in the field

• Monitoring tools, cameras, and sensors deployed where oversight is weakest

• Evidence collected, protected, and shared publicly

• Long-term projects alive beyond funding cycles and media attention

It turns reactive work into sustained presence.

Transparency You Can Trust

Heart of Audacity is built on clarity.

Monthly supporters receive:

• Regular operational updates

• Field progress reports

• Clear explanations of how funds are being used

• Public access to findings and documentation

No vague promises.

No polished optics.

Just real work, reported honestly.

Choose Your Monthly Support

You can start, adjust, pause, or stop your monthly support at any time.

Whether your contribution is modest or substantial, recurring support strengthens independence and makes the work harder to interrupt or silence.

Join the Heart of Audacity

This isn’t for recognition, branding, or influence.

It’s for people who understand that:

• Independent research needs consistency

• Evidence needs time and presence

• Integrity costs money every month, not just once

Join Heart of Audacity today.

Support the work.

Protect the independence.

Keep the truth afloat.

A Small Thank You, From Time to Time

For Heart of Audacity supporters who choose to share a mailing address, we may occasionally send a small thank-you acknowledgement — such as a handwritten postcard from a port of call, an Expedition T-shirt, or a modest souvenir picked up along the way.

These gestures are offered occasionally and at our discretion, as expressions of appreciation — not as goods or benefits exchanged for donations.

If you choose to share your birthday, you might also receive a call or message from the crew when circumstances allow — sometimes including a song, enthusiasm, or questionable singing ability. No guarantees, just good intentions.

All donations remain fully voluntary, and any acknowledgements are token expressions of thanks with no material value assigned.

Donate Now!

Donations to Expedition Audacity does not confer influence over research priorities, findings, governance, or editorial decisions, which remain solely with the Expedition Audacity Research Foundation, its partners, and the facts.
