Crossing the Final Hurdle
After a difficult and uncertain year, we are now closer than ever to operating from a dedicated vessel of our own.
A major vessel donation has brought us to the final stage of this effort.
What now stands between us and our next expedition is not acquisition, but the practical cost of bringing the vessel safely into service.
This includes transfer costs, broker and legal fees, Florida state taxes, launch preparation, safety work, and expedition readiness.
This is the final hurdle.
Your support helps us get the vessel into the water and back where the mission belongs: at sea.
Securing the Platform That Makes the Mission Possible

Independent work at sea depends on a platform that is:
After the attack on our charter vessel in 2025, it became clear that relying on borrowed platforms is no longer sustainable for the environments in which we work.
A dedicated vessel gives us the operational continuity needed to plan responsibly, deploy safely, and carry out long-term fieldwork.
This is not expansion for its own sake.
It is essential infrastructure.

Funds raised now go directly toward the immediate costs of bringing the donated vessel into active service, including:
Every contribution helps close the final funding gap.

We are no longer raising funds to find a vessel.
We are raising funds to ensure this donated vessel can be brought into service without delay.
With a recent corporate donor stepping back amid wider economic pressure and rising operational costs, the final costs of transfer and launch have arrived at the worst possible moment.
The vessel is within reach.
Now we need help crossing the line.

Support infrastructure that keeps us at sea
Support enables the vessel to operate safely and independently.
Support does not provide editorial control, research direction, route selection, reporting input, or investigative influence.
This is infrastructure funding that protects operational independence and field capability.
Your support helps sustain safe, continuous field operations
Your support helps keep our crew safe and our work in the field.
Help bring this vessel into service.
Help keep the mission moving.
